Warm welcome from Bonita, well equipped kitchen and beautiful surroundings. You probably need a car to stay here and it has the benefit of having parking, being set within a gated garden including a few other properties yet being a 1 minute drive to the main highway (you don't hear it) so you can get out quickly. Despite being a duplex, it feels quite private with you and your neighbours both having your own outdoor space. Being the lower apartment, you don't get so much sunlight in this particular unit as others do and being the Azores, it does get pretty humid (dehumidifier provided).

We stayed here for a month and a half & it was the most relaxing place we have ever stayed! The rest and comfort we came looking for was found here. The grounds are so meticulously kept & the place was so serine and quiet. Between the flowers, the amazing sculptures, the birds, palm trees & sunsets you cannot go wrong. If you are looking to feel like you are so far away from everything...but also very conveniently located. 15 minutes to the airport and so many hiking trails around...you will find your Zen! My parent's were able to join us briefly for 3 nights and stayed next door in #2 . They loved their STAY HERE if you ever get the opportunity! Trust Us -B&M

One week in the Azores to celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary was far too short.
From the time our driver, Marco, met us at the Airport, to the first meeting with our Hostess, Bonita, that first night, we continued to enjoy ourselves from start to the end.
Thanks to our driver and his wife who gave us a comprehensive panoramic view of the island, we will be forever grateful. We were very much delighted to return to your island after about 15 years lapse. The modern highways, valleys, lush mountain sides and even going through the clouds in the mountains was breathtakingly beautiful with all the most colorful flowers in full bloom. The many restaurants we ate at, along with the most delicious food, continue to put a smile on our faces.
We were able to relax & rejuvenate in our tiny cottage # 5 equipped with all our essential needs. We even found time to sit outside our cottage to listen to the birds & chickens. How exciting to wander in the well groomed gardens & take photos & videos, which we continue to share with Family & Friends.
As we share our most memorable experiences, we anticipate lots of Bermudians, including ourselves, will make the Azores our summer vacation spot in 2023 provided the direct flights resume.

We truly enjoyed our entire stay in The Azores tremendously! The weather was perfect. Our Taxi Driver was most cordial & informative. Our Private Driver was exceptional. Just waiting to give his Aunt a first hand report & show her photos when she visits our Neighbor next door. We are now enjoying our two day Island wide Cup Match holiday.

We had a wonderful stay, Bonita provided all information ahead of out trip, excellent communication . The place itself is beautiful, well maintained amazing garden to relax with a drink in the evening after the full day of exploring the island was just what we needed. It is very private, you can truly relax there. We would love to come back again!

Cleaning and Disinfecting your vacation home!
We want you to know we at VHM Azores are doing our part to help our guests stay safe by continuing to do cleaning and disinfecting as we have in the past but also, more detail disinfecting of frequently
touched surfaces before you check in (light switches, door knobs, cabinet and window handles, remotes, etc.)
To insure there are no transmitting of virus from previous guests, we will not be adding extra paper or disposable products during this time (tin foil, paper towels, plastic wrap, toilet paper, books etc.)

Smoking is not allowed inside the house. For the respect to other nonsmoking guests, smoking is allowed outside only and the cigarette butts are to be put in the garbage and not on the property grounds
Rental car services can also be reserved. Don't like to drive ? We can arrange a tour guide to show you all the secret places of this paradise island.
Don't want to cook on your vacation? Take advantage of your evening meals at nearby traditional restaurants within a 10 minutes drive from the Quinta.
Activities to experience: To visit Sao Miguel, known as the Ilha Verde (Green island), is also to discover a natural world that seems to have been hidden for a reason or purpose. The close proximity of attractions are easily accessible, however, to observe and admire it, will prolong your stay indefinitely. Nurtured by nature and time, one will find the crater lakes of Sete Cidades, Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake) and Lagoa das Furnas (Furnas Lake). For any traveller, there are a variety of activities; hiking trails, whale watching, sailing, beaches with warm waters, natural and thermal pools that soak away any kind of blues.
Winter Getaway : Visitors from the colder climates- Have you thought of migrating during the winter months?
At Quinta das Acacias, we can accommodate your seasonal stay in the Azores starting October 1st to May 31. Affordable monthly rates available.
Both travel and accommodation are at their lowest, giving you more to spend on your Christmas holiday.
The city streets are festive with lights and decorations, the stores are full of beautiful crafted gifts. Stop at a local cafe and have an espresso while watching the ocean waves crashing against the rocks or have a glass of local wine on a romantic evening after strolling through streets. All, at your own relaxing pace.
The rich green countryside and temperate temperatures are great for exploring the island.
