The cottage is exactly as per the listing. An authentic Azorean home with updated conveniences and classically furnished. A true little gem The location on the coastal trail is perfect for touring the island and doing even more hiking on the many official marked trails. The back garden and access to the clifftop views are spectacular. Easy to get to grocery store in Capelas and restaurants along the north shore Would highly recommend for any longer term stay

Bonita was a wonderful host. Because we arrived Saturday late in the evening she left breakfast goodies for us. She was super helpful every time we asked her help (from calling a taxi to renting a car). And the fireplace was just magical. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than expected due to work emergencies and couldnt enjoy the full month.

Bonitas place is pure heaven. Every day during our stay I kept congratulating myself for choosing her place. So private and quiet, only birds and a beautiful church bell as sounds. Her garden is huge and so well maintained. And still, while having all the advantages of privacy and nature, going to the highway is less than 5 minutes.

Bonita & Ed are super nice, helpful, proactive, responsive and insightful.

Wonderful place to stay with everything you need, surrounded by a beautiful garden with ducks and chickens. The property is so big that youll have privacy and many things to do. A nature reserve to live in :)

Hello Bonita/Ed, Wed like to compliment the stay at Quinta das Acacias. From the cleanliness, kitchen/ equipment, wonderful shower, beautiful sunsets from the porch, to the lovely gardens.nothing negative to say. Our stay was smooth as silk. Very responsive hosts.

Excellent location, right on the coastline with access to a nice trail right behind the house. Nice to be able to watch the stars at night and hear the waves or watch the sun rise in the morning (a must!). Only about a 15 minute drive from the airport and restaurants/shops of Ponta Delgada. Always parking right in front of the house. Backyard is beautifully maintained and the fig tree was delicious. Fun to watch the bird and lizard activity in the mornings.

We had a great experience staying at this charming cottage. The private and picturesque surroundings made it a perfect gateway. The cottage was cozy, clean and well equipped. I highly recommend this place!

The area where the house is located is a beautiful garden with animals, very quiet and a large area to disconnect and walk.

I loved this place. It was a peaceful respite after a long day of exploring. You feel like you're sitting in the Rainforest Caf when you eat dinner on your front porch. It was beautiful.

Warm welcome from Bonita, well equipped kitchen and beautiful surroundings. You probably need a car to stay here and it has the benefit of having parking, being set within a gated garden including a few other properties yet being a 1 minute drive to the main highway (you don't hear it) so you can get out quickly. Despite being a duplex, it feels quite private with you and your neighbours both having your own outdoor space. Being the lower apartment, you don't get so much sunlight in this particular unit as others do and being the Azores, it does get pretty humid (dehumidifier provided).

The park in the accommodation is a paradise. We felt very comfortable, it was very quiet and yet centrally located to get to the destinations quickly.

The accommodation was fantastic. Bonita and Ed are the owners of the property, live on it themselves and manage the entire property. The whole area is green and full of plants, trees and flowers - like a botanical garden. The house is surrounded by stone walls and plants in a very quiet and private corner of the property. Inside the house everything was clean and we had a big kitchen to cook for us and our baby. Ed even brought us a baby chair the first night which was very helpful. Every evening and morning we visited the chickens with our baby and usually met Ed who lovingly took care of the property, plants and chickens. Sometimes our grumpy baby even gave him a smile. It was a very nice month, we really enjoyed the quiet and green property and Ed's sculptures everywhere and when we travel to Sao Miguel again we will either stay here again or at least visit Bonita and Ed. Bonita was very friendly and helpful at all times, and recommended places to visit on the island. If we go back, we'll repeat it for sure!

Very cozy house in a very beautiful environment and full of nature. There was a lot of tranquility and it was well located near Ponta Delgada.

Het huisje was fijn maar vooral de enorme tuin was prachtig! Onze jonge zoon heeft met name genoten van alle dieren (kippen, konijnen, eenden) en van de gastvrijheid van het echtpaar. De communicatie verliep heel goed. De ligging was ook fijn, lekker rustig maar dichtbij de snelweg en snel in Ponta Delgada en leuk strandje in de buurt.

The house is right on the cliff and you have a great view of the sea and the coast as soon as you step through the garden gate. The garden is beautiful and it's wonderfully in the shade under the fig tree.

Bonita hat uns herzlich empfangen, gab uns gute Tipps fr Unternehmungen und Einkaufsmglichkeiten. Die Lage ist ideal, man ist schnell am Strand, in der Stadt und alles ist gut erreichbar. Wir haben den Aufenthalt auf dem traumhaftschnem Grundstck sehr genossen. Das Haus ist sauber und sehr praktisch eingerichtet. Die Betten gut. Wir knnen es sehr empfehlen. Yvonne und Andreas

The first thing to say is that the photos don't do the place justice - both the house and the gardens are absolute paradise! Bonita and Ed could not have been more gracious hosts. We felt comfortable and secure the minute we entered. The property itself is also magnificent. You are in a tranquil garden with birds chirping, enjoying all the blossoms and gorgeous plants that they foster here. We loved having chickens around because Bonita sold us delicious eggs and we could them feed our food scraps. We cooked outside on our own charcoal grill, enjoyed numourous hours on the porch, peaceful walks through the property, and also a slew of recommended activities that Bonita told us about. We stayed for 1 month, working part-time, and the wifi was generally great, even amidst a tropical storm. Leaving this Airbnb was like leaving our own home. We're counting the days until we can come back.
